Terms of Service & EULA
Last updated: June 30, 2026
These terms govern your use of Mooru, a Chrome extension that saves and restores your browser tabs. By installing or using Mooru, you agree to these terms. The Extension is provided "as is" — please keep your own backups using the export feature.
1. License
You are granted a personal, worldwide, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Mooru for personal or commercial purposes. You may not resell or redistribute the Extension as your own, reverse engineer any paid or server-side component (except where the law permits), or use it to break the law or infringe the rights of others. The Extension is licensed, not sold; all rights not expressly granted are reserved.
2. The service
Mooru lets you save open tabs into named sessions and restore them later, search and organize sessions, and export or import your data as JSON. Saved data is stored locally in your browser — see the Privacy Policy for details. We may add, change, or remove features over time. We aim to keep the core promise — never lose a tab — subject to the warranty and liability sections below.
3. Free and Pro plans
The free plan is fully usable on its own. A paid "Pro" plan (cloud sync, unlimited sessions, automatic backups) may be offered in the future. If and when paid plans become available:
- Billing is handled by a third-party payment processor; you authorize recurring charges until you cancel.
- Cancellation stops future renewals; Pro access continues until the end of the current paid period.
- Refunds: except where required by law, payments are non-refundable, though we may grant refunds at our discretion.
- Price changes come with reasonable notice, and you may cancel before they take effect.
We will not silently remove core free features you already depend on without notice.
4. Your data
You own the tabs, sessions, and backups you create. Your local data stays on your device unless you explicitly enable an opt-in feature (such as future Pro cloud sync). You are responsible for keeping your own backups using the JSON export feature. Our handling of your data is described in the Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these terms by reference.
5. Acceptable use
- Do not store, transmit, or distribute unlawful content.
- Do not attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' data.
- Do not interfere with, disrupt, or overload the Extension or any related service.
6. Disclaimer of warranties
THE EXTENSION IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. While Mooru is built reliability-first, we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that no data will ever be lost. You are responsible for maintaining your own backups of important data using the export feature. We are not responsible for tabs, sessions, or data lost due to browser updates, crashes, device failure, user error, or any cause outside our reasonable control.
7. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL THE DEVELOPER BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE EXTENSION. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD 20. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations; there, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
8. Termination
You may stop using the Extension at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 4, 6, 7, and 9) will survive.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time; the "Last updated" date reflects the latest version. Material changes will be communicated through the Extension or the store listing where reasonable. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence applies.
