Mooru saves your browser tabs so you can restore them later. Your data stays on your device. We do not sell or share your data with anyone.
What we store
- Saved sessions: page URLs, titles, and favicons of tabs you choose to save.
- Stored locally in your browser via
chrome.storage.local.
What we do NOT do
- We do not collect browsing history beyond tabs you explicitly save.
- We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties.
- We do not serve ads or inject content into web pages.
- We do not use analytics that identify you (the current version collects nothing remotely).
Permissions and why
- tabs — to read the URL/title of your open tabs (to save them) and open them (to restore).
- storage — to save your sessions locally.
- alarms — to reliably clear the toolbar badge after a save, even if the browser puts the extension to sleep. It collects no data.
Pro cloud sync (future, opt-in)
If you enable Pro cloud sync, your saved sessions will be sent to and stored on our server only to sync across your devices, tied to your account. You can disable sync and delete your synced data at any time. We still never sell or share it. (This section becomes active when cloud sync ships.)
Data deletion
Uninstalling the extension removes locally stored data. For Pro sync data, request deletion in-app or by contacting support.
